civilian response to active shooter event (c.r.a.s.e.)

What would you do if you found yourself in the middle of an active shooter event?   While it may seem like an unlikely scenario, these events do occur, and your response determines your likelihood of survival. The Kentwood Police Department is hosting a free training event intended for businesses, employees, and citizens (18 years and older).  Instructors will explain practical steps that will help individuals mentally prepare and respond to any active shooter event.  It is is intended to equip participants with useful information, as well as answer any questions.  For more information on when and where the next training event is being held, please contact Sergeant Wierenga at 616-656-6561 or by email at wierengat@kentwood.us
