Tom is a 26-year resident of Kentwood and has been a City Commissioner since 2017. During that time, Tom has focused on citizen safety, financial responsibility, improving parks, and economic development.
Tom’s experiences over the years have included working in a variety of industries and in many small companies. His career has also encompassed teaching at three universities and starting three businesses.
Tom is passionate about giving citizens the opportunity to be heard. He is a strong believer in enabling people to improve their lives through education, engagement, and empowering them to succeed. He believes that role of the City Commissioner is to empower the citizens of Kentwood to create and build their own future, and to remove the barriers that hinders personal achievement.
To this end, Tom will continue to focus on collaboration with citizens and the city. He will give Kentwood citizens a voice in how they are governed and a voice in how we, together, move Kentwood forward in the coming years.
