PROGRAMS Closed for Winter

The City of Kentwood offered its brush and leaf drop-off sites this past fall at the Kentwood Department of Public Works, located at 5068 Breton Ave. SE. The sites ran concurrently from Saturday, Oct. 5 through Saturday, Dec. 7 with open hours from noon to 8 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays. The services will be available to Kentwood residents again in the spring.

The brush drop-off site accepted brush, sticks, tree limbs and logs. Materials not accepted included: plastic bags, trash, dirt, concrete, asphalt, tires, rocks, stones, construction materials, glass or metal. The leaf drop-off site accepted loose leaves and grass clippings.

Beyond helping make yard maintenance easier, leaf and brush collections services also help residents stay in compliance with City ordinances. The accumulation of leaves and debris within the lot line of a property or upon the adjacent right-of-way is prohibited in the City of Kentwood, as is burning leaves and brush.
