Gypsy Moth Survey in Progress

Gypsy Moth Survey in Progress
The City of Kentwood has hired Aquatic Consulting Services (ACS) to conduct a Gypsy Moth population survey between Wednesday, Oct. 25 and Tuesday, Oct. 31.

The surveyor will be locating and recording gypsy moth nests, which grow in trees. He will be driving a black Ford truck with signs that clearly identify his company. There’s no need to be concerned if you see him.

The city has received many calls regarding the resurgence of gypsy moths within the community and this survey will be used to develop treatment recommendations.

If you have questions, please contact Mark Rambo, Deputy City Administrator at 616.554.0770 or rambom@ci.kentwood.mi.us.
