Winter Cooking Classes to Impress your Guests

Looking to improve your culinary skills so you can impress your guests this year? Sign up for our winter cooking classes, where you'll be able to use the brand new commercial grade equipment and work with experienced chefs in the Kentwood Activities Center’s newly renovated kitchen.

Kids in the Kitchen – Kids will learn the basics of kitchen safety and how to use utensils. Using ingredients found around the house, these youngsters will learn how to prepare a new dish each week that they can recreate with little adult help or supervision. They will take home a recipe book of their tasty creations at the end of the class.

Super Bowl Appetizer – Get ready to score a touchdown at your Super Bowl party with three fun dishes! Learn how to tackle the recipes for queso dip, garlic parmesan meatballs, and jalapeno poppers puffs.

  • 6 to 8 p.m.
Hearty Soups and Homemade Bread Bowls – Warm up this winter with a hot cream cheddar and broccoli soup and a delicious homemade bread bowl. Nothing takes that winter chill away better than a hot home cooked meal. Participants will learn how to make the soup and bread bowls from scratch and then have time to enjoy their delicious creations in our cozy 48th Street Kitchen. Please sign up by Jan. 15.
