Winter Concert Series: Kevin Brewster Trio

Kentwood Library (4950 Breton SE)

Our Winter Concert Series is back again in 2023! Join us on March 23 for the Kevin Brewster Trio – playing Jazz with emphasis on hard bop, bebop, contemporary, and R&B. We'll also have Patty Matters food truck on site selling their delicious burgers and fries. Concerts take place inside the Community Room at the Kentwood Library. Guests are welcomed to bring their own beer or wine to enjoy at the show. Get out of the house and join us at the Kentwood Library for winter evening fun!

Springtime Egg Scavenger Hunt

Various Kentwood Parks

Search for colorful egg shaped signs hidden in our parks and win fun prizes! The Kentwood Parks and Rec team will be hiding egg shaped signs at parks across town. Look high, look low, and when you find one, snag it and bring it in to the Kentwood Activities Center to collect a prize. One prize per family.

Spotlight on Seniors Expo

Kentwood Activities Center (355 48th St SE)

The Kentwood and Georgetown Seniors invite you to join them at the 24th Annual Spotlight On Seniors Expo at the Kentwood Activities Center.  Seniors and community members will be able to visit 50 vendors from a variety of community businesses, receive free health screenings and maybe even win a door prize!  Enjoy FREE morning snacks and FREE lunch!  If interested in becoming a vendor, contact Shelby at (616)656-5323.

Kentwood Arbor Day Celebration

Celebrate Arbor Day with the City of Kentwood at Kellogg Woods Park, 275 Kellogg Woods Park Dr SE. We will kick things off with an Arbor Day proclamation, followed by a tree planting at the park.  Complimentary refreshments will be available afterwards.

Hanger Clinic Limb Loss Awareness 5k

Veterans Memorial Park (355 48th St SE)

Kentwood Parks and Recreation is teaming up with Hanger Clinic to offer the annual Hanger Clinic Limb Loss Awareness 5k on Saturday, April 29! This family friendly event is designed to be a fundraiser for Kentwood Parks and Recreation’s Adaptive Recreation Programs. All profits will be channeled towards improving and offering more programs for people with physical disabilities. All abilities are welcome to participate! Race will start and end at Veterans Memorial Park, 355 48th St SE, Kentwood, MI 49548. We will also be having a kid’s 1 miles fun run!  Kids will receive a t-shirt and ribbon. 

Cost $25 per person thru 2/28, $30 per person from 3/1-3/31,  $35 per person from 4/1-4/28, $45 per person on race day 4/29

Support this dog-friendly fundraiser at Kentwood’s dog park! Bring your pup to this free event to explore local pet vendors, community booths, and a food truck. Donations will be accepted throughout the event to raise funds for new amenities at the dog park. Attendees will receive a doggie bag with dog treats and other goodies to take home.

The Vibe: A Fundraiser for Kentwood's Adaptive Recreation Programs

Join us for the seventh annual celebration and fundraiser to further enhance Kentwood’s adaptive recreation programs. The fun-filled backyard party will include cocktails, dinner, silent auction, adaptive equipment displays, and live music.   Funds raised at this year’s event will go towards purchasing equipment for our adaptive recreation programs.

Tree Lighting Ceremony

Join us at a our annual Tree Lighting Ceremony! The event takes place in front of the Kentwood Library starting with the holiday light parade. There will also be take-home crafts for kids, holiday music, and of course a visit from Santa! We will be accepting non-perishable food donations for our Little Free Pantry to help us through the winter season.
