Valentine's Dash 5k

East Paris Park (5995 East Paris Ave SE)
This race will get you outside to enjoy a combination of trails and paved pathways in two Kentwood Parks. Race will begin and end at East Paris Park (5995 E Paris Ave SE). This course is great for first-time runners or walkers but will also provide a challenge to more experienced runners. This race is perfect for running with your sweet heart, soul mate, BFF or to meet someone new! Kids and families are welcome. The fastest runners will be awarded but there will be no formal awards ceremony. Awards will be available for pick-up the week after the event or can be mailed. Everyone is encouraged to wear their best Valentine themed costumes but it's not required. Runners will receive a long sleeve shirt and other goodies in their participant packets.
Cost $25 per person until 12/31,  $30 per person from 1/1-2/12,  $35 per person on race day 2/13

Freeze Fest Disc Golf Tournament

Jaycee Park (1088 Gentian Dr. SE)
We're partnering with Great Lakes Disc to bring you another doubles disc golf tournament and food drive! Bring your own partner. Best shot doubles tournament. All funds raised and all food items donated will go to the Little Free Pantry.
Cost $40 + canned food item per team

South Kent Community and Senior Expo

Kentwood Activities Center (355 48th St SE)

Join us for the South Kent Community and Senior Expo!  Explore the products and services from over 70 businesses within the community.  The expo will also feature health screenings, door prizes and free lunch!  Admission is free and open to the general public.  Vendor space is available! If interested in becoming a vendor, contact Lorraine at (616)656-5278.

Limb Loss Awareness 5k

Bowen Station Park (4499 Bowen Blvd)

Kentwood Parks and Recreation is teaming up with Hanger Clinic to offer our annual Limb Loss Awareness 5k on Saturday, April 24! This family friendly event is designed to be a fundraiser for Kentwood Parks and Recreation’s Adaptive Recreation Programs. All profits will be channeled towards improving and offering more programs for people with physical disabilities. The race will take place on the beautiful East West and Paul Henry Trails. All abilities are welcome to participate! Race will start and end at Bowen Station Park, 4499 Bowen Blvd SE, Kentwood, MI 49508. We will also be having a kid’s 1 miles fun run!  Kids will receive a t-shirt and ribbon.
