Winter Concert Series: Serita's Black Rose

Our Winter Concert Series is back again in 2020! Join us for music from Bello Spark (1/16), Serita’s Black Rose (2/20), and Nicholas James Thomasma (3/19).  Concerts take place inside the Community Room at the Kentwood Library. Guests are welcomed to bring their own beer or wine to enjoy at the show. Each concert will also have a food truck outside. Get out of the house and join us at the Kentwood Library for winter evening fun!

Family Luau Dance

Aloha! Our popular Daddy Daughter Dance is now the Family Luau! Join us for a memorable night of dancing and fun! Kids are invited to bring their dads, moms, grandparents, or other relative as their "date" to our HAWAIIAN LUAU themed dance. Refreshments & snacks will be served. There will also be a craft activity, photo area, and DJ playing fun music. Plus, we'll have a short hula perfomance by Pacific Island Dancers. Cost is $10 per person. Pre-registration is required. Freeze Fest Disc Golf Tournament

We're partnering with Great Lakes Disc to bring you another doubles disc golf tournament and food drive! Bring your own partner. Best shot doubles tournament. All funds raised will go towards Kentwood Parks & Recreation Youth Programs and all food items donated will go to the Little Free Pantry.
Cost $40 + canned food item per team

Taste of Kentwood

Kentwood Activities Center (355 48th St SE)
Join us for the 19th annual Taste of Kentwood. Sample food from fifteen restaurants. You won't want to miss this evening of food and fun at the Kentwood Activities Center. Two sessions: 4:30-6:00pm and 6:30-8:00pm.  Kids 5 and under are free.
Cost $10 in advance, $12 day of event, kids 5 and under eat for free

Easter Egg Hunt

Kentwood’s Easter Egg Hunt takes place on the lawn behind Kentwood City Hall on Saturday, April 11 at 10:00am. For ages 10 and under! Bring a bag to collect your eggs. Egg Hunt will be held rain or shine. Get your pictures taken with the Easter Bunny afterwards. We will start at 10:00am sharp. There will be three age group categories: 1-3 years, 4-6 years, and 7-10 years. Look for the golden egg to win a special prize!

Spotlight on Seniors Health & Fitness Expo

The Kentwood and Georgetown Seniors invite you to join them at the 21st Annual Spotlight on Seniors Health & Fitness Expo on Tuesday, April 21 from 8:30am-12:00pm at the Kentwood Activities Center.  Seniors will be able to visit over 70 vendors from a variety of senior-oriented businesses, receive free health screenings and maybe even win a door prize!  Seniors will enjoy FREE morning snacks and FREE lunch!  For vendor information please call (616) 656-5270.

Limb Loss Awareness 5k

Kentwood Parks and Recreation is once again teaming up with Hanger Clinic to offer our third annual Limb Loss Awareness 5k! This family friendly event is designed to be a fundraiser for Kentwood Parks and Recreation’s Adaptive Recreation Programs. All profits will be channeled towards improving and offering more programs for people with physical disabilities. This race takes place on the beautiful East West and Paul Henry Trails. All abilities are welcome to participate! We will also be having a kid’s 1 miles fun run!  Kids will receive a t-shirt and ribbon. Race will start and end at Bowen Station Park.
Cost Early Bird registration through 2/29:$20, 3/1-3/31: $25, 4/1-4/25: $30, Race day $35 per person. Kid's fun run is $5. Day of registrations are not guaranteed a t-shirt.
